Street Chicken
17. jul 2007. – street in front cafe Crveni Petao, Belgrade, Serbia
The performance consisted of bringing 3 chickens and one rooster to the center of the Serbian metropolis and releasing them to "freedom" in front of a renowned city café “Crveni Petao” (Red Roaster). Thanks to the idea of keeping the rooster tied to a pole with a rope, the hens gathered again after a short tour of Belgrade and happily returned to their village the next day. The goal of the performance is to introduce chickens to the urban environment, which, according to the free assessment of the author, they have not walked freely for at least a hundred years.
