This sculptural installation is part of the cycle “Dreams of the Frozen Man”, in which I use Disney cartoon characters to interpret various social phenomena. In this work, I deal with the intimate relationship between spiritual and secular authority. The Church and the State are supposed to always serve the people, but in practice they often cooperate in order to pursue their own interests. The priest and the policeman are depicted in the moment of Holy Communion, which is one of the most important rituals of the Orthodox Church and represents the culmination of the process of cleansing the faithful from their sins. At the same time, it is a very intimate act in which one adult feeds another adult with wine and bread.
